The National Social Investment Programme, NSIP of the Federal Government, N-Power has revealed that another set of 50,000 (fifty thousand) volunteers of the 2017 Batch will starting receiving their stipends “this week”.

This is in addition to the first set of 150,000 (one hundred and fifty thousand) beneficiaries who have already been paid.

“We have paid 150k people. We have also sent another 50k in, so some others will receive alerts this week,” N-Power said while responding to questions from volunteers.

It also disclosed that it had received the deployment schedules of Nassarawa State but they were rejected because they fell short of the required standard.

“They have submitted the list for Nasarawa State now.

“Nasarawa sent in their deployment schedule but we have rejected it because it didn’t follow the standard we asked for,” it stated.

The Scheme equally addressed the issue of ‘depression’ raised by one of the 2016 Volunteers about to exit the Programme saying, “Calm down. Nothing to be depressed about”.
